Advance Gas Chromatography Operation, Calibration, Troubleshooting and Practice Course
Introduction:
This course has been developed to integrate different aspects and techniques in the field of separation science. It covers the theory, instrumentation, and practical application of modern separation techniques, including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, and electrokinetic separations. Additionally, sample preparation methods will be discussed.
The course places a strong emphasis on the practical, empirical, and applied aspects of these techniques, while also providing sufficient coverage of the underlying theory. This ensures a comprehensive understanding of how the methods operate and facilitates the development of new separation methods. Throughout the course, we will explore the common principles that govern the separation processes, such as equilibrium, mass transport, bulk fluid transport, zone formation, and perturbation. These fundamental physical parameters act as unifying features and will guide our learning journey.
Course Objectives:
- A greater understanding of why and how separations techniques work as they do
- An ability to select and employ appropriate separations methods for various analysis problems
- An aptitude for making the calculations necessary in utilizing the various separation techniques. Having met these goals, you will be able to effectively employ chromatography and other separations methods in your research.
Who Should Attend?
Analytical chemists, laboratory supervisors, laboratory technicians, GC technicians, research and development scientists, instrument specialists, and quality assurance/control managers.
