Advanced Casing Design Course
Introduction:
This course places significant emphasis on the practical implementation of casing design principles and theory, covering both basic and advanced levels. The content can be customized to cater to either level of expertise. It covers various aspects, including the nomenclature of casing design, manufacturing processes, materials and their properties, the theory behind burst, collapse, and axial loadings, design policies and procedures, API specifications, and a review of the underlying theory and limitations. Special cases like HP/HT (High Pressure/High Temperature) and sour service are also explored.
Course Objectives:
A full appreciation of the key API Specifications, their origin and their limitations to modern casing design
