Architect Registration Examination (ARE) Course
Introduction:
The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) is the organization that creates the Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®). U.S. jurisdictions use the ARE as the registration exam for applicants wishing to become registered architects. Certain provincial and territorial architecture societies in Canada also accept it for registration.
The ARE course evaluates a candidate's ability to provide a range of services necessary for an architect's practice. It focuses on professional services that have an impact on the welfare, health, and safety of the general public. NCARB is aware that an architect may be responsible for supervising the work of other participants in the design/construction process, in addition to administering tests to determine proficiency in particular subject areas.
