Assessing Defects in Concrete Structure and Evaluating Safety Concrete Infrastructure Course
Introduction:
The objective of this course is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to recognize durability issues in concrete structures. Participants will gain an understanding of the underlying causes, evaluate the potential risks in both the short and long term, and develop effective and efficient rehabilitation and repair strategies to enhance the performance of these structures. The course places particular emphasis on addressing durability challenges in hot and humid environments.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:
- Identify performance and durability problems of concrete materials and structures
- Conduct field monitoring and non-destructive evaluation of concrete structures
- Carry out a forensic assessment of deteriorated concrete structures
- Design repair strategies for deteriorated concrete structures including repairing with
- Composites
- Design stabilizing and strengthening techniques of reinforced concrete structural elements.
