Integrated Reservoir Management Studies Course
Introduction:
Course Objectives:
Participants will take part in case studies that include a new field, mature fields, water floods, and enhanced recovery projects. Integrated management examples for new and mature fields and for water flooding will be discussed in a workshop environment.
Who Should Attend?
- Engineers
- Geoscientists
- Operating personnel, and asset team members.
Course Outlines:
Reservoir Management Concepts and Processes
- Reservoir management concepts
- Reservoir management process
- Management environment
- Integrated Reservoir Model
On the first day, participants will learn about the basic reservoir management concepts and the basic reservoir management process. Management environment and the integrated reservoir model will also be covered.
Characterization and Analysis
- Reservoir characterization
- Petrophysical analysis
- Depositional environments and systems
- Pore System Model
Participants will learn about reservoir characterization and petrophysical analysis on this day. Depositional environments and systems will also be discussed. The Pore System Model will be covered on this day of the course.
Statistical Analysis and Performance Analysis
- Statistical analysis of production and pressure data
- Static Model
- Reservoir performance analysis
On day three participants will learn about the statistical analysis of production and pressure data. The static model will also be covered. Reservoir performance analysis will be discussed.
Dynamic Model
- The Dynamic Model
- Building the Dynamic Reservoir Model
- Calibrating the Dynamic Model
- Predicting performance
The Dynamic Model will be the main focus of day four. Participants will learn about building the dynamic reservoir model along with how to calibrate it. From there, participants will learn how to predict performance using the dynamic reservoir model.
Selecting a Project
