Introduction:
In addition, this course delves into the design elements of offshore facilities, providing an overview of their technical components and construction design. Examples of floaters as part of the field development concept will also be presented. By the end of the course, participants will have gained a heightened awareness and comprehension of the overall purpose, design considerations, and installation methods involved in offshore platforms and facilities.
Course Objectives:
- GAIN project and construction management and planning in the oil and gas (upstream) value chain.
- UNDERSTAND the overview of fabrication tender evaluation and selection of the offshore platform.
- GAIN the appreciation of the activities and basic techniques of:
- Design aspects of offshore facilities
- Selecting a fabrication yard
- Constructability review
- Oil & Gas Structures Fabrication, erection, and assembly
- Structures Load-out, ballasting and sea-fastening operations

- Pipelines and subsea facilities
