Pipeline and Piping Design, installation, Operation, inspection, Testing, Maintenance, Repair, FFS, Pigging, integrity and Rehabilitation (ASME B31 and API 579 Standards) Course
Introduction:
The participants in this 5-day training will have a thorough understanding of the ASME B31 design, construction, inspection, and testing guidelines as well as how to apply them to operational system integrity assessments. In order to assist with material selection and failure analysis, the participants will obtain a thorough understanding of pipe and fitting material specifications, fabrication techniques, and their impact on mechanical attributes such as strength and toughness. The participant will comprehend the design equations' technical foundation and how they are used in pipeline and piping system design. The training covers best practices for piping system planning that ensures dependable operation. An extensive, step-by-step analysis of operating transients in pipelines and piping systems, their causes, and the solutions is provided in this course.
Course Objectives:
The course covers construction and welding practices, weld inspections, weld flaws and acceptance criteria. The course covers hydro-testing methods and alternative leak detection techniques. The participant will gain a practical understanding of piping and pipeline corrosion mechanisms, how to recognize them, classify them and resolve them. The participant will be introduced to the latest techniques and research in piping and pipeline integrity to analyze a degraded condition due to either corrosion or mechanical damage. The participants will review case histories of field failures and will evaluate their cause and solutions to avoid recurrence.
Who Should Attend?
The course is intended for engineers, maintenance technicians and inspectors responsible for the design, integrity, maintenance and repair of pipelines and piping systems.
