Introduction:
This interactive training course provides a comprehensive introduction to the components comprising an electric substation. Participants will gain an understanding of the functioning of each type of equipment and will be guided through the control and wiring diagrams that govern equipment operation.
Recent technological advancements have significantly impacted various aspects of substation design, operation, maintenance, safety, grounding, testing, and troubleshooting. As a high-voltage electric system facility, a substation plays a crucial role in switching generators, equipment, circuits, and lines in and out of a system. It also serves to transform AC voltages from one level to another and convert between alternating current and direct current.
