Practical Course Water Testing: ICP and Ion Chromatography Course
Introduction:
This course provides an introduction to the principles and practical application of ion chromatography in analyzing cations and anions in water and wastewater samples. It covers the fundamental concepts of ion chromatography and its relevance in this specific analytical context.
Furthermore, the course highlights the essential components needed to establish and uphold a robust qualification, performance verification, and calibration program for ion chromatographic techniques. Participants will gain insights into the necessary requirements and best practices for developing and maintaining such a program, ensuring accurate and reliable results in ion chromatography analysis.
By the end of the course, attendees will have a solid understanding of ion chromatography and the steps involved in implementing an effective qualification, performance verification, and calibration program for this analytical technique.
Course Objectives:
Apply up-to-date knowledge and skills on water analysis and quality control techniques. Select proper water samples from different sources including formation water, injection water seawater, boiler feed water, boiler blowdown water, boiler water, produced steam, condensate water, and drain effluent water. Practice the latest water analysis standard methods (ASTM, ISO, APHA, EPA methods) and use the correct analytical equipment to achieve the required results of analysis Implement the various laboratory techniques in water analysis
