Process Safety Management (PSM) Course
Introduction:
Contemporary Safety Technology principles embrace a risk-based approach when determining the most suitable design measures to minimize risks to a reasonably practical level. This program, which is built upon the NEBOSH Part 2 Diploma, has been updated to familiarize participants with the latest EU and International Standards pertaining to Safety Technology. By incorporating these standards, participants are equipped with the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge in the field.
Course Objectives:
Participants attending the program will:
- Update knowledge on modern concepts of machinery and work equipment safety Standards and Directives
- Develop a clear understanding of machinery and work equipment risk assessment techniques
- Assist project engineers in selecting criteria for integrating health and safety specifications for machinery and work equipment
- Develop experience in the application of reliability technology for the selection of appropriate Safety Integrity Levels ‘SIL’s for protective and safety systems
- Ensure consistent optimization of resource allocation for production, maintenance, and safety, based on risk and cost-benefit analysis
- Provide HSE practitioners with a route for gaining NEBOSH Part II- Diploma qualifications in safety technology
- Develop an understanding of engineering noise control principles and options.
- Emphasis throughout the course will be placed on the practical application of reliability and risk assessment techniques to new projects and existing machinery/systems
