Introduction:
These courses, which usually include extra reading, homework, and tests, can be offered in-person or as open public training sessions. These training programs focus on imparting practical skills and practices that are immediately applicable in the business, in addition to preparing you for the qualification.
Course Objectives:
My intent is that you leave this course with:
- A greater understanding of why and how separations techniques work as they do
- An ability to select and employ appropriate separations methods for various analysis problems
- An aptitude for making the calculations necessary in utilizing the various separation techniques. Having met these goals, you will be able to effectively employ chromatography and other separations methods in your research.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for those who are new to the technique in sample preparation for chromatography or analysts currently using the technique and desire further understanding. The course assumes a working knowledge of gas chromatography (more than one year lab experience) or a BA/BS degree in chemistry.
