Introduction:
Course Objectives:
The purpose of this course is to provide guidance for the facilities engineers in selecting, installing, and maintaining an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system after the decision has been made to install it.
At the conclusion of the course the student will be familiar with the:
- Principles and configurations of different UPS systems such as the static and rotary UPS systems.
- Design and selection criteria such as the determination of the need, safety, availability and affordability of the UPS systems.
- Installation and testing including the features, location and protection of UPS systems.
